Who leads Learnis
The founders
Massimo De Donno and Giacomo Navone founded the first courses in the mid two-thousands and still lead the network. They are the authors of the Italian bestseller Genio in 21 giorni, published in 2012 by Sperling & Kupfer, which brought a personalised study method to a general readership.
They did not begin as managers. They began as trainers, and the group grew faster than their experience of running one — a point they make themselves, and one that explains a good deal about how the structure has changed since.
A management drawn from every country
Learnis is run by a management team drawn from all the national branches, not appointed from a single headquarters. It is organised into global committees, each responsible for a defined area of the group's work, operating under the direction of the two founders.
The committees are where standards get set and revised. That matters more than it sounds: in a network of independent companies working in different languages and markets, a standard that is not written down and maintained becomes a habit, and habits diverge.
What the national companies keep
In each country the lead company continues to coordinate its own network, under the network agreements already in force there. The masterbrand does not absorb them.
The division is deliberate. Identity, method, standards and direction are shared. Commercial operations, local relationships and the running of the centres stay with the company that built them.
What changed in 2024
In 2024 the group published a new corporate code of ethics, developed through an internal process that involved every local department and office. In the same year it reorganised the board of directors and the first lines of management, to bring the structure closer to its stated values.
The reorganisation came before the brand. Learnis names a structure that had already changed.
What the global committees are responsible for
- Setting and updating the standards that apply across every country
- Internal training: how instructors, tutors and staff are prepared and kept current
- Methodological development: how the method evolves, and on what evidence

A network of companies under a single brand
Learnis is a masterbrand over legally independent companies. Each keeps its own legal identity, its own contracts and its own responsibility for what it delivers. The brand system embodies their shared method, shared standards, and one direction — together with the obligation to be legible from outside.
