What it has become
The first group, in 2017, was 107 children. In the years since, nearly a thousand children in total have passed through the school — that figure is the cumulative number since 2017, not the number enrolled today. The school has kept growing and kept taking in new pupils, and the project continues.
What grew around it
A school is a building until people organise themselves around it. What has developed alongside this one is the part that decides whether it lasts: teachers being trained, families drawn into what happens there, and a more settled environment in which children can study with some continuity. Those three things are why the numbers kept rising.
What we are careful not to say
We contributed to building this school and we have supported it since. We do not run it. The project is part of what the group does with its money, and it is described here so that it can be checked.
What the support has covered
