Personal Skills

Immersive experiences spent looking at things most people never set aside time for.

This is the field that deals with the parts of a life that rarely get examined deliberately: how we handle emotions, what we expect from relationships, what we mean by success, and how much of what happens to us we actually influence. Both courses here are immersive and residential, because these are not subjects you can work on for an hour a week between other things. They are structured around observation and practice: you leave with things you have looked at and tried.

What an immersive course can and cannot do

Four days can make something visible that was operating unseen. That is a real and specific effect, and it is what these courses are designed to produce. What four days cannot do is change a habit built over twenty years. The work that follows — practice, feedback, a group still going, time — is where a new way of doing things settles.
