What the group does outside its own business

Projects with places, partners and dates attached — and a note on the ones we are still checking.

Working on how people grow carries an obligation towards the places that work happens in. Each project below is named; where one cannot yet be described precisely, it is marked as such. One has a page of its own — the school in Douala. The others are: Accendi la tua Intelligenza, a project against functional illiteracy built on work done by CNR-IRPI researchers together with the SaperCapire team; a contribution to Cultura Italiae's initiatives on the future of education, including the Manifesto for the New School; Dono di Natale, food parcels and financial support for families in difficulty in the cities where the network has centres; participation in environmental protection and offsetting schemes, including Impatto Zero® and Treedom; and support for non-profit fundraising, for work on diversity and against discrimination and bullying — including a Milano Marathon project in support of Centro Gulliver.

When the schools closed

In spring 2020, with Italian schools shut and teaching moved online, the network opened free study halls. The first, run from Bologna, connected fifty students from across the country; the format — two hours of guided study with a trainer working on method rather than on subject content — was then repeated at the other centres, alongside free webinars and daily video advice. Nobody was asked to pay for any of it.
